Rashee Rice Headshot

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is scheduled to be released from jail today. He served a 30-day sentence for testing positive for THC, violating the terms of his probation. It sounds like that'll be the end of the discipline for that incident. Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio writes that, "The league has shown no inclination to impose further punishment on Rice for his probation violation."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact

With his latest legal issue out of the way, we now turn our attention to Rice's health. He had surgery shortly before being locked up to remove loose debris in his previously repaired right knee. Rice was eventually granted permission on May 28 to travel to Parkland Memorial Hospital to rehab the knee.

He missed last week's minicamp in jail, but HC Andy Reid expects Rice to be ready for the start of training camp in a little over a month.

There's still a ton of risk here, both with Rice's health and off-field antics. But he's trending toward being on the field for the start of the season and still projects as Kansas City's clear No. 1 target. Rice drew a 26.5% target share in his 8 games last year and ranked fifth among WRs in PPR points per game.

He retains WR1 upside in 2026.

Projected ADP Movement

Rice's best ball ADP has sunk over half a round to the middle of the third over the last couple of weeks.

Rice's ADP has dropped from 2.11 to 3.06 over the last couple of weeks.

Expect it to rebound some as long as the news stays positive.

If you're willing to take on the risk, Rice is certainly capable of paying off a price tag in the back half of Round 2.
