Kenneth Walker "Fine" After Tuesday Foot Scare

Chiefs RB Ken Walker sounded alarms when he missed Tuesday's practice with a foot issue. He dealt with a foot issue last summer before splitting backfield work with RB Zach Charbonnet. But this latest issue doesn't seem serious. Walker was on the field Tuesday without a limp or extra protection on the foot, and ESPN's Nate Taylor reports that he's "fine."

Kenneth Walker Looks Like A Focal Point For Chiefs

The Athletic's Jesse Newell is the latest Chiefs insider to suggest Kenneth Walker is headed for a huge role this season. Newell writes that Walker has gotten the ball "all the time" in camp, especially in the screen game.

Kenneth Walker Primed for More Receiving Work

New Chiefs RB Kenneth Walker caught only 31 passes over 17 games last season, but Kansas City should unlock more receiving production. Beat writer Jesse Newell writes that Walker “figures to be heavily involved in what was a dormant screen game last season.”

Emmett Johnson Doesn't Appear Worthy of a Late-Round Pick

Jesse Newell of The Athletic calls Chiefs RB Emmett Johnson an early training camp "faller." Here's more from Newell. “The Chiefs were thrilled to get Emmett Johnson in the fifth round of April’s draft, and I’d think his long-term prospects with the team remain unchanged. But as of now … he’s been a clear fourth in the running back pecking order in practices, behind both Brashard Smith and Emari Demercado [plus starter Kenneth Walker].”

Chiefs Building Their Offense Around Kenneth Walker

It was clear the Chiefs had big plans for RB Kenneth Walker when they signed him to a 3-year, $43 million deal earlier this offseason. But that plan might be even bigger than we initially thought. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports from Chiefs camp that Walker will get the "majority" of the carries and can "do everything," including playing a big role in the passing game.

Can RB Emmett Johnson Become the Chiefs No. 2 RB?

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Nebraska RB Emmett Johnson in Round 5 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Johnson’s college path wasn’t linear. He arrived as an overlooked recruit, redshirted, and then climbed past veteran competition before losing touches in 2024. Even in a split backfield, his receiving stood out, culminating in a 39-catch season that foreshadowed a larger role. When Nebraska committed fully in 2025, Johnson responded with 1,451 rushing yards and a class-high 46 receptions. Among the 20 RBs invited to the NFL Combine, Johnson ranked first in 2025 rushing market share (82.4%), and 15th in yards after contact per attempt (2.95). He ranked fourth in 2025 missed tackles forced per attempt (0.27) and sixth in receiving yards per route run (1.27). He is currently 22 years old.

George Holani & Elijah Arroyo Back For NFC Championship

Seahawks RB George Holani and TE Elijah Arroyo have been activated from IR for Sunday's NFC Championship vs. the Rams. Holani figures to step in as the No. 2 RB with Zach Charbonnet out, although we'd be surprised if he got more than a handful of touches behind Ken Walker. Arroyo also figures to play a bit role behind lead A.J. Barner but adds some juice to the TE room. The rookie averaged 11.9 yards per catch during the regular season.

Zach Charbonnet Tore ACL; 2026 in Question?

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet will miss the rest of the playoffs after suffering an ACL tear in his left knee. Seattle originally believed the injury to be minor, but HC Mike Mcdonald announced Monday that he'd need surgery. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the ACL tear.

Seahawks RBs Finish Strong Against the 49ers

RBs Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker III finished the regular season strong, helping the Seahawks secure the top seed in the NFC. Charbonnet went 17-74-1 on the ground and 3-23-0 through the air on 4 targets. Walker went 16-97-0 on the ground and 4-36-0 through the air, catching all of his targets. With Walker set to be a free agent after this season, both RBs could be valuable fantasy players in 2026.

Zach Charbonnet Takes Control Of Seattle Backfield

Zach Charbonnet posted his best numbers of the season, carrying 18 times for 110 yards and a pair of TDs to lead the Seahawks to a 27-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. The attempts and yardage marks were Charbonnet's highest of the season and marked the first time since Week 13 that he received more carries in a game than Kenneth Walker III.

Kenneth Walker III Disappears In Atlanta

It's been a frustrating season for Kenneth Walker, and Week 14 was rock bottom. Walker crushed fantasy lineups with a season-low 3.8 PPR points in Seattle's 37-9 win in Atlanta. Walker carried 10 times for just 29 yards -- his lowest rushing output since Week 1. Walker's 3.8 points were the fewest points he's musterd in any game since Week 11 of the 2023 season -- a game he exited early with an injury.

        Ken Walker Active

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (glute) is active for today’s game vs. the Titans. He was added to the injury report on Friday and listed as questionable, but HC Mike Macdonald called in “precautionary.” We’re not expecting the glute to be a factor today. Walker is in a good spot with the Seahawks huge 12.5-point favorites over Tennessee.

Ken Walker Expected To Play Week 12

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (glute) is expected to play vs. the Titans today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Wallker was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Friday, but HC Mike Macdonald didn't express much concern about his availability for this one. Walker has not moved in the Week 12 RB rankings.

Ken Walker Questionable For Week 12

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (glute) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Titans. He was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Friday. HC Mike Macdonald said Friday that Walker is “a little sore” but “should be good” for Sunday. “We’re just taking care of him today. I’d say it’s precautionary,” Macdonald added. “But, you never know. But I’d say it’s precautionary. He should be fine.” Walker can stay penciled into fantasy lineups for now. We’ll look for further updates on his status and get Seattle’s inactives around 11:30 am ET.

Seahawks Declare War on Your Fantasy Football Lineup

If you've been rostering either of Seattle's top two RBs this season, then you've undoubtedly been frustrated with their deployment and production. The Seahawks added a third element to that problem in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. George Holani ran for a 9-yard TD near the end of the first quarter, en route to a 7-31-1 rushing line for the day. Ahead of him, Zach Charbonnet rushed for a team-leading 83 yards and another TD on 14 carries. Kenneth Walker matched Charbonnet at 14 carries, tallying 67 yards, and drew the backfield's only target. (He caught it for a whopping 3 yards.)

Here's the Biggest Problem with Kenneth Walker's Usage

Kenneth Walker III led Seattle in carries (17) and rushing yards (66) in Monday night's win over the Texans. But he (again) ceded the highest-value touches to RB Zach Charbonnet. The latter carried 12 times for 49 years but scored both Seattle rushing TDs, from 1 and 2 yards out. Charbonnet also claimed the backfield's only two targets for the game, catching both for 6 yards.

Zach Charbonnet Deceptively Leads Work on Sluggish Backfield Day

Seahawks RBs managed only 58 yards on 22 carries in Sunday's win at Jacksonville. Zach Charbonnet edged Kenneth Walker III 12-10 in carries but averaged just 2.0 yards per rush with a long run of 8. Walker didn't fare much better, with a 10-34 rushing line and a long run of 10. Each guy caught his only target.
