Saints RB Alvin Kamara left a scrimmage with the Dallas Cowboys with a knee injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the injury was a sprained MCL and will miss at least the next month with the injury. That sets up RB Travis Etienne for a full workload and makes Kamara undraftable in upcoming fantasy drafts.

The Saints placed RB Devin Neal on IR with the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 15, ending the rookie's season. Neal tallied 153 total yards in two games as New Orleans' lead back. He averaged just 3.6 yards per carry on the season, though, and ranked 56th in yards after contact per attempt and dead last among 58 qualifying RBs in Pro Football Focus' rushing grades. Neal will probably need to fight for a roster spot next summer. We'll see if RB Alvin Kamara makes it back this season. If not, New Orleans will roll with RBs Audric Estime and Evan Hull the rest of the way.

Don't be surprised if the rookie is done for the season with what seems like a relatively significant hamstring injury. RB Alvin Kamara (knee, ankle) remained sidelined on Wednesday and looks likely to miss another game. That'd leave New Orleans' backfield to Audric Estime and Evan Hull vs. the Jets this weekend. The team also signed RB Nyheim Hines to the practice squad on Wednesday. This is a backfield to avoid in Week 16 fantasy lineups.

Alvin Kamara sprained his right MCL early in the Saints' Week 12 loss to Atlanta. After Kamar departed the game, Devin Neal played 57 of the team's final 66 snaps and was the only RB to receive a carry or target. Neal didn't find a lot of running room, rushing for just 18 yards on his 7 attempts, but he did catch 5-of-7 targets for 43 yards.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara suffered an MCL sprain in Sunday's loss to the Falcons, according to New Orleans Football's Nick Underhill. The severity of the sprain will determine how long Kamara will be sidelined. "He could take a little time, but nothing that's super serious or threatening long term," Underhill writes. "Hard to know how long. Alvin and his team often beat timelines." We should learn more about Kamara's injury over the next day or two, but consider him more likely than not to miss Week 13's game against the Dolphins. Devin Neal will take over as the Saints' lead back if Kamara misses time. He's far from an exciting fantasy option but could provide RB3-level production. We also saw Taysom Hill tally eight carries in the second half of the Falcons game.

If you hoped the season-ending injury for RB Kendre Miller would rebound Alvin Kamara's touch counts ... then you've been wildly disappointed in the weeks since. Kamara logged his second straight six carries in Sunday's lopsided loss to the Rams. It was New Orleans' third consecutive loss by double digits and the second straight by 20+ points. That would seem like good conditions for Kamara's target volume, at least. But the veteran has seen three targets or fewer in three straight games and totaled 6 catches for 28 yards over that span.
