Just shy of two weeks after suffering a groin injury during a joint practice, Tyler Warren is back at practice, per Colts beat reporter Nathan Brown. Now, with just shy of two weeks until the opener, the team gets its star TE back on the field.

Just five days after it was announced that Tyler Warren is expected to miss about a week with a groin injury, Colts beat reporter Mike Chappell says the team might hold him out of practice this week. The injury appears to have lingered longer than previously hoped, but Warren should still be ready for opening day against the Ravens in a few weeks.

Colts TE Tyler Warren is expected to miss about a week with the groin injury he suffered in Wednesday's practice, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "No worries for Week 1," Rapoport adds. The Colts open their season vs. the Ravens in 24 days. Barring a setback, Warren's 2026 fantasy outlook is unaffected. We'll keep an eye on him but have not moved for the groin injury in the TE rankings. Warren did take a slight hit when Indianapolis signed WR Keenan Allen earlier this week.

A few days ahead of the Colts’ second preseason game, Tyler Warren left practice with what appeared to be a groin injury, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. Shortly after, Holder followed up: “He’s now back with teammates on the sideline, still in uniform, but without a helmet,” suggesting it doesn't seem to be a major injury.

Colts TE Tyler Warren (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Texans. He was added to the injury report yesterday and listed as questionable. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported this morning that Warren is battling a stomach virus, but we haven’t heard anything about his snaps being impacted today. He’s safe to keep in fantasy lineups.

Guys almost always play through illnesses, so Warren can stay penciled into Week 13 fantasy lineups for now. Colts QB Daniel Jones was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Thursday with a calf. "Sounds like the Colts are being cautious," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted. "Still worth keeping an eye on..." We'll certainly be keeping an eye on this one. With QB Anthony Richardson on IR, QB Riley Leonard is Indianapolis' backup. He'd be a huge downgrade for the offense.

Colts WR Josh Downs (hip) did not practice on Wednesday. It's a new injury for Downs, and we don't have any other details. We'll keep tabs on his status leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Steelers. Downs' absence would leave targets behind for WRs Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce and TE Tyler Warren.

Colts TE Tyler Warren (toe) has been removed from the Week 3 injury report. He had been listed as questionable after getting in two limited practices this week. He's in no danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Titans, though. And getting removed from the injury report now should have fantasy owners feeling much better about keeping him in Week 3 lineups.

Colts’ WR Josh Downs left Thursday’s practice early with an apparent hamstring injury, according to James Boyd of The Athletic.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson is believed to be recovered from the right shoulder issue he dealt with last month, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. Richardson missed two weeks of June minicamp with an aggravation of the AC joint injury that ended his 2023 season. The rest has seemingly alleviated the issue, though. Richardson has been "throwing the ball with velocity" for weeks, per Holder, although it's still possible that he'll be on a pitch count early in camp.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson is dealing with a right shoulder injury and won't participate in next week's minicamp, HC Shane Steichen said Thursday. Steichen called it an aggravation of the AC joint injury that ended Richardson's 2023 season. He had surgery then but is not expected to need surgery this time, according to Steichen.
